Ivanka Trump has confirmed that she will not be campaigning for her father Donald Trump after he announced that he would be running for President for a third time in 2024.
Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner were both senior advisers to the Trump Administration during his prior presidency, but have mostly been trying to keep a low profile in a Miami suburb since that period.
Donald announced his candidacy on Tuesday night at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach. Despite being in the same state and even recently going there for her sister Tiffany Trump’s wedding, Ivanka skipped out on the announcement as well.
Curiously, Kushner was present at the announcement, so he may be trying to worm his way back to a place in the campaign.

Also present were Melania Trump, Donald’s son Eric Trump, Eric’s wife Lara Trump and Donald’s youngest son Barron Trump.
In a statement first shared with Fox News and later posted to Instagram, Ivanka said she plans to support her father “outside the political arena.” The reasoning she gave was “I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in Politics.”
While Ivanka has been relatively tight-lipped since her time in the White House, Trump’s sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric have been much less so. Junior, who was not present at the event, constantly makes headlines for the rants he does in defense of his father and Eric has also protested investigations against his family and the Trump Organization as well.
