Months after they were subpoenaed by New York Attorney General Letitia James for her investigation into the Trump Organizations’ finances and business conduct, both Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have completed their depositions in New York City.

James agreed to have the original time of the depositions, mid-July, shifted back after former President Donald Trump’s ex-wife, Ivana Trump, passed away recently.

Trump and his children have repeatedly attempted to avoid sitting for a deposition in this case, and he has attacked James herself several times and claimed that the civil investigation is little more than a political hit.

Since the depositions occurred behind closed doors, it is hard to know what might have been discussed. CNN reported that Donald Trump Jr. did not invoke his Fifth Amendment privileges and answered all questions in full.

James has indicated that they have evidence of the Trump Organization exaggerating the value of its real estate properties to obtain more preferable loans and other benefits. The AG office has alleged in one case that the Trump Org ballooned the value of one apartment block by three times.

Trump himself is expected to be deposed sometime this month.
