iPhone X Plus Updates Leaked In iOS 12 Beta – May Function Like iPad, Offer Second SIM Slot
Apple made news yesterday for its achievement of acquiring a value of one trillion dollars. Today, Apple is again making headlines, this time because forthcoming details for its latest iPhone have leaked.
iPHONE X DETAILS LEAKED IN FIRMWARE UPDATE
Recently, iOS 12’s fifth beta was datamined, discovering internal references to a “second SIM status” and “second SIM tray status.” Apple, however, does not seem bothered by how it’s been discovered the iPhone X will have a second SIM card slot, as the Brazilian website iHelpBR located code within iOS 12 that shows the iPhone X and its screen will function like an iPad through similar means.
As previous leaks implied the iPhone X will bear a 2688 by 1242 screen resolution, iHelpBR ran the operating system at that resolution. Doing so revealed hidden landscape modes and interfaces for fundamental iPhone apps. Apple has experimented with landscape modes on Plus-sized iPhones, but Apple’s iPhone 9 (a more accessible, less expensive 6.1-inch iPhone X) does not seem slated to enjoy these benefits.
In other words, the iPhone X Plus is likely destined to be the model Apple will promote as the one to help enhance your productivity. Apple does have plans to cut prices for their iPhones this year, however, so hopefully both models will be readily available.
