Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) created a burner X account to express her disapproval of former President Donald Trump and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and to praise Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the months ahead of the Iowa caucuses.

This account, @Kimberl26890376, had the username, “Kimberly Reynolds,” a photo of Reynolds as its profile picture before it was suspended on January 11, and then seemed to be deleted altogether.

Only 259 people followed this account before its removal.

The account did not link back Reynolds’ official @IAGovernor account or her personal @KimReynoldsIA account.

The user of the burner account, in her posts, made no reference to the fact she is the governor of Iowa.

Most of the @Kimberl26890376 account’s 58 posts have come in recent months and are related to the Republican presidential primary.

Reynolds, in one of her posts, used the account to repost a meme from a DeSantis supporter named Barbarian Steve.

This meme shows a side-by-side photo of the governor of Florida smiling with his wife, Casey DeSantis, and his three children, Madison, Mason and Mamie DeSantis, next to one of Trump surrounded by young unknown women at a New Year’s Eve party.

“The contrast is overwhelming…” Barbarian Steve wrote in the meme’s caption.

The Iowa governor shared a post accusing Trump of being someone who lacks loyalty but demands it from everybody else.

“That’s FEALTY. Which makes sense because these people want a king,” she added.

Reynolds even used this account to go after Haley.

“Meet the liberal Democrat who is actively auditioning to be Trump’s vice presidential running mate,” one of @Kimberl26890376’s reposts read in reference to Haley.

This tweet came from the DeSantis campaign.

The governor of Iowa posted supportive responses to DeSantis using her @Kimberl26890376 account.

“Followed through 100% on promises made,” one of her posts read.

“Leader!” another post stated.

Back on November 5, 2023, Trump slammed Reynolds before her endorsement of DeSantis in the 2024 presidential election.

The former president claimed on Truth Social that if she were to endorse DeSantis, then her political career would be over.

In early January, DeSantis called Trump out for relying on Dr. Anthony Fauci and Trump’s response to states like Georgia when they began reopening.

The governor of Florida also called him out for the “massive gaslighting” in the town hall on Fox.

Trump went on to defeat DeSantis by a wide margin in Iowa. DeSantis dropped out just days later.
