Influencer Andrew Tate Grins In Romanian Court As He Appeals Human Trafficking Charges

Influencer Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, were photographed smiling during their ongoing trial outside an appeals court in Bucharest, Romania.

Andrew, a controversial social media influencer known for his displays of wealth and misogynistic views on women, continues to face criminal charges after being detained in March on a separate arrest issued by British authorities after searches through his home tried to find connections to previous accusations of human trafficking and sex crimes.

In December 2022, the influencer and his brother were arrested in Romania on suspicion of human trafficking. The brothers are also wanted in the UK for similar allegations. Though they have denied the allegations, with Andrew claiming they are “innocent men,” both have remained under house arrest.

Last month, the brothers received a slight reprieve when the court ruled that the prosecutor’s indictment against them contained several irregularities. The court gave the brothers less than a week to amend or withdraw the case involving allegations of their inappropriate behavior.

The appeals court also ordered the removal of specific evidence, a decision made nearly two years after the brothers were arrested. After the ruling, Andrew declared, “The prosecution knew they were lies. We knew they were lies.”

Their list of actions includes allegations of human trafficking and forming a capital gang to exploit young women. During their arrest, two Romanian women were with them and subsequently arrested with them.

Embracing his criminal status, Tate went onto his social media accounts and wrote, “Girls love criminals because they love fearlessness.”

Following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory in November, Tate reaffirmed his interest in relocation to the United States when he posted, “The bulletproof outlaw is in charge,” seemingly referring to the President-elect’s second term.

Despite suggesting their return to the States, the court of appeals granted the British government’s request to extradite the Tates only after the legal proceedings in Romania had concluded.
