Social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother were detained in Romania on Thursday.

According to Romanian authorities, police warranted searches at five different homes as part of an investigation into organized human trafficking and rape.

The Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) said in a statement that prosecutors have applied to hold Tate at a detention center for another 30 days.

“The four suspects…appear to have created an organized crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialized websites for a cost,” the DIICOT said.

Allegedly, at least six victims have been “sexually exploited by the organized crime group.”

Tate tweeted on Friday, seemingly in response, “The Matrix sent their agents.”

A spokesperson for Tate noted that “Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always assist and help in any way they can.”

There’s a compelling theory circling online that Tate may have given his location away via pizza pox. The despicable influencer posted a video attempting to roast climate activist, Greta Thunberg, by bragging about not recycling his pizza boxes.

Tate was detained shortly after the video, which clearly showed boxes from the Romanian chain Jerry’s Pizza.

On Friday, Thunberg hilariously tweeted, “This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes.”

Some of Tate’s most controversial comments include his statement that women should “bear responsibility” for being sexually assaulted and the time he compared women to dogs and children.

“You can’t be responsible for something that doesn’t listen to you,” Tate said. “You can’t be responsible for a dog if it doesn’t obey you, or a child if doesn’t obey you, or a woman that doesn’t obey you.”
