Iggy Azalea took to Twitter before the Grammys Sunday to tell her followers that a Papa John’s driver allegedly gave out her personal phone number.
Azalea’s initial tweets asked for answers from Papa John’s about the driver’s misuse of the information he was privy to because of the nature of his job – passing along the Grammy-nominated rapper’s digits to his friends and family members.
Later on, Azalea explained her grievances and the dangers of having all of her information in the wrong hands. While various news outlets had picked up on the story, Papa John’s, according to Azalea, still hadn’t reached out to resolve the issue.
After another string of tweets, comparing her situation to T-Mobile giving out customer information, Azalea tweeted out once more to get Papa John’s attention.
Azalea’s excessive tweets ultimately paid off, as Papa John’s released a statement to reveal that the company had heard Azalea’s claims and had dealt with the offending employee.
“Privacy of our customers and employees is extremely important to us,” a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter. “Papa John’s has taken appropriate disciplinary action with regard to the employee involved. We are reaching out directly to Ms. Azalea and hope to resolve this incident and make it right.”
