Idris Elba, best known for his TV roles on The Wire and Luther, recently gifted his Instagram followers with a video of himself working out without a shirt on.
Elba, 42, took to the social media site Wednesday to post the short clip, writing, “Training for my next Film. Bastille Day. Grinding.”
In Bastille Day, Elba is playing a former CIA agent opposite Charlotte Le Bon, who is playing a young artist who teams up with him on an anti-terrorist mission in France. Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden is also starring in the feature that will be directed by James Watkins from a script by Andrew Baldwin.
Elba, who won a Golden Globe earlier this year for playing Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, currently has a number of projects in various stages of production. Beast of No Nation and The Gunman are currently in postproduction, while he is currently filming A Hundred Streets and recording voicework for The Jungle Book and Finding Dory, the sequel to Pixar's Finding Nemo.
In addition to Bastille Day, Edris is also preparing to film Alive Alone and Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, in which he’s slated to play Bedivere.
