America voted in the second group of American Idol's eighth season finalists on Thursday night: L.A. high school student Allison Iraheta, 16; Arkansas college student Kris Allen, 23; and L.A. actor Adam Lambert, 26. The three finalists join Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace and Michael Sarver, who were picked by viewer votes as the first three finalists last week. After prayers from Simon Cowell, Nick Mitchell, who performed as the loony Norman Gentle, was one of nine semifinalists ousted from the show. Next Tuesday, 12 more semifinalists will compete for three additional places in Idol's top 12.
