DJ and producer Erick Morillo was found dead Tuesday morning in Miami Beach, police confirm. He was 49 years old.

Miami Beach police say they found the body while responding to a 911 call from his home. The cause of death is currently being investigated and will be announced by the medical examiner’s office. However, detectives did not see any signs of foul play.

Morillo was well-known as a DJ and house music producer, most notably for his 1994 hit, “I Like to Move It,” which was released under the stage name Reel 2 Real.

Born in 1971 in New York, Morillo spent his childhood in Cartagena, Colombia. He began DJing after moving back to the United States when he was 11, starting off at family events before moving on to DJ at New York City clubs.

Morillo was arrested and charged with sexual battery in August. Though he initially denied the accusations, the DJ turned himself in after the victim’s rape kit tested positive for Morillo’s DNA. He was scheduled for a court hearing this Friday.
