President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden, the daughter of Hunter Biden, confronted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) on Wednesday when she accused the lawmaker of spreading misinformation when her father appeared at a House hearing.

Hunter made an unexpected appearance at a House Oversight and Accountability Committee markup on Wednesday, where the committee proceeded to move forward with a resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress for when he allegedly defied a subpoena issued in December. Tensions flared upon Hunter’s presence, as he briefly remained in the room while Republicans and Democrats engaged in heated exchanges before he departed with his entourage while Greene was mid-speech.

This prompted Greene to later post on X, “WOW – Hunter Biden fled the scene when I started exposing the truth behind the Biden Crime Family. Too bad his daddy can’t save him this time. We have mountains of evidence of Biden family corruption and foreign influence peddling and there will be accountability for these crimes.”

Naomi quickly took to X to criticize Greene’s comments and posted, “In reality, it seems that everyone left the scene when she started lying.”

Greene continued by submitting lewd photos of Hunter obtained from his laptop, leading the committee’s top Democrat to ask if “she was a porn expert.”

At the hearing, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina) expressed her disapproval of Hunter’s presence.

“Who bribed Hunter Biden to be here?” she said. “You are the epitome of white privilege. Coming into the Oversight Committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a congressional subpoena to be deposed. What are you afraid of? You have no balls to come up here. I think that Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now, and go straight to jail.”

After Mace’s “white privilege” comment, both Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) and Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) criticized her.

Crocket said later in the meeting, “I just want to run it back through to the very beginning because this is something that I just can’t get over. I just can get over the gentlelady from South Carolina talking about white privilege… It was a spit in the face, at least of mine as a black woman, for you to talk about what white privilege looks like, especially from that side of the aisle… You all have no comprehension of what white privilege entails.”

In an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that aired on Thursday, First Lady Jill Biden was questioned about her response to the Republicans’ accusations against her family, which specifically targeted Hunter.

“I think what they are doing to Hunter is cruel, and I’m really proud of how Hunter has rebuilt his life after addiction,” she said. “I love my son, and it’s hurt my grandchildren.”

Naomi wed at the White House in November 2022 and continues to live there with her husband, Peter Neal.
