Helen Mirren, 77, Rocks Blue Hair On The Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet

The 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival welcomed Dame Helen Mirren with blue hair this year!

The Academy Award-winning star arrived at the festival with differently shaded blue hair and powder blue nails to match her Del Core gown. To complete her look, she wore a diamond necklace and earrings, and silver Sole Bliss peep-toe heels. She also carried around a black paper fan with the hashtag #Worthit. 

The gorgeous Del Core gown was custom-made. The inspiration for it came from a yellow skirt that was part of the designer’s spring collection.

This is not the 77-year-old Dame’s first time changing her usual silver locks. In 2019, she arrived at the Cannes Festival with pink hair. 

Although she likes to change her hair color occasionally, the Queen actress encourages others that going gray isn’t all that bad. 

“Going gray is to be encouraged—that’s not to say you can’t have fun with your hair, because it’s a very important part of how you feel about yourself. People should do whatever makes them feel comfortable,” she said to Vogue in 2021.
