Heather Locklear shook things up on Franklin & Bash’s season three premiere Wednesday when she kissed Jane Seymour.

Locklear, 51, joined the cast this season as dominating lawyer Rachel King. One of the many situations she got herself into in the premiere was sharing a kiss with attorney Peter Bash’s (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) mother, played by Seymour. “One of the executive producers was like, 'How do you feel about kissing a woman?' And I'm like, 'I've done that before onscreen, not in real life,’” Locklear told RedEyeChicago.com. “Then she said, 'How do you feel about kissing Jane Seymour?' And I go, 'I haven't done it before. Be nice to try.'”

Seymour isn’t the only one Locklear is causing trouble with on-screen. King doesn’t get along with Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Bash when she meets them, and challenges them to a round of legal trivia. In doing so, she takes them down a peg and asserts herself as their newest boss. However, in real life, Locklear is having a great time with the actors, and said they’re as fun off-screen as they are on-screen. "They are the same. They might be worse or better – whichever way you want to look at it,” she said. “Yes, they're awesome."

The feeling is mutual, according to Gosselaar. “She's a sweetheart," he said of Locklear. “She came on set always prepared, and she fit right in with the family, and has a great sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously. She was a perfect fit.”

Franklin & Bash follows the escapades of the titular attorneys. The show also stars Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), Garcelle Beauvais (NYPD Blue), and Dana Davis (10 Things I Hate About You).
