LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 30: Co-chairman of The Weinstein Co. Harvey Weinstein arrives to The Weinstein Company and Lexus Present Lexus Short Films at The Regal Cinemas L.A. Live on July 30, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
Harvey Weinstein asked a U.S bankruptcy judge to turn over personal emails that are relevant to investigations against him.
Weinstein has been accused of sexually assaulting numerous women but has denied every account.
In the filing Wienstein’s attorneys wrote, “[The Weinstein Company’s] continued refusal to permit Mr. Weinstein to access these emails has significantly impinged his ability to effectively defend himself from these allegations and is a continuing deprivation of his due process rights.”
According to the filing, Weinstein has investigations against him in multiple jurisdictions including New York, London and Los Angeles. The federal and state investigations have requested documents related to the cases.
