Harry Styles, in pursuit of a successful solo career, has gotten new management and has been hard at work in the studio.
With One Direction on hiatus, Styles is throwing himself into his solo career, and doing everything he can to break away from the British boyband – including dropping their management team, Modest Management. Now that he’s going off on his own, Styles has signed with CAA’s Jeffrey Azoff.
“We wish Harry the very best. It has been a real pleasure working with him,” Modest execs Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee told Billboard, adding, “Harry is a total gentleman, and we know our good friend Jeffrey Azoff will look after him.”
Styles reportedly hopes to make his debut as a solo artist in early 2017. And, according to “Marvin Gaye” singer Charlie Puth, Styles is already on his way with some tracks that seem to be inspired by fellow Brit, Beatles singer Paul McCartney.
“It was very Paul McCartney-esque,” Puth told The Sun. “The last time I saw Harry we talked about McCartneyesque chord changes.”
In addition to music, Styles is said to want to pursue acting during One Direction’s hiatus. As for Liam Payne, he apparently wants to get behind the scenes and produce music. Niall Horan reportedly wants a break from music altogether and will be launching a golf agency. Louis Tomlinson, meanwhile, will be embracing his newfound fatherhood.
