Hannibal might be one of the more serious dramas on TV, but the cast and crew apparently have much to laugh about while filming the NBC horror series.

'Hannibal' Gag Reel

Mads Mikkelson (Dr. Hannibal Lecter), Hugh Dancy (Will Graham), Caroline Dhavernas (Dr. Alana Bloom) and Laurence Fishburne (Jack Crawford) are all featured to the gag reel from Hannibal’s dark sophomore season.

While Mikkelson’s Dr. Lector is all about precision and high standards, the actor himself apparently struggles with the task of tying a tie. After stumbling with the accessory, Mikkelson also had trouble pulling a suit vest on. Gillian Anderson, who will be a series regular for season 3, also had trouble with an accessory, repeatedly losing a mic down the front of her dress.

Some of the most disturbing scenes to watch on Hannibal center around the cannibalistic epicurean’s dinner table, on which his guests unknowingly dine on human flesh. In one clip, Fishburne fake chokes on the plate in front of him. In another, the scene’s director asks Dancy, who has just complimented the “fish,” “Can you try to give me that line again and actually mean it?”

The bloopers also include dancing in the autopsy room, Dancy lifting his finger while sipping prison tea and much more.

The full gag reel will appear on Hannibal’s season 2 Blu-ray-DVD and Digital HD home video package that will be available Sept. 16. The package will also feature deleted scenes, audio commentary with cast and crew on select episodes and a feature-lenth documentary on the making of episode 205, “Mukōzuke."
