Country singer Hank Williams Jr.’s daughter Katherine Williams-Dunning died in a car accident on Saturday night in Tennessee. 

Williams-Dunning was behind the wheel when the crash occurred at around 7:45 p.m. and was with her husband Tyler Dunning. She was driving a SUV and towing a boat. The car rolled across the highway and came to a stop on the shoulder. Williams-Dunning died in the crash and her husband was brought to a local hospital. 

A Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman told The Paris Post–Intelligencer, “This is an active investigation and more details will be made available later.”

William-Dunning’s brother Sam Williams, who is also a country artist, posted privately on his Facebook page and asked for prayers for his sister and her husband. 

He wrote, “My sister and brother in law have been In a terrible accident. Please pray for them so hard! Katie Williams and Tyler Dunning.”

He added, “NEED EVERYONE WHO SEES THIS TO PRAY FOR KATIE WILLIAMS RIGHT NOW AND TYLER DUNNING !!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!”

Williams-Dunning’s sister, singer Holly Williams posted on Instagram. “I have no words,” she said. “On Friday morning I talked the family into taking this picture and had no idea it would be our last together with my precious little sister Katie.”

She later expressed another need for support from fans by saying, “ALL we need is prayers. My daddy. My little brother. Katie’s husband (he is awake and responding don’t know injury extent yet). My niece and nephew. Her Mama. The Dunning family. All of us. So. Many. Prayers. Jesus is close. Thank you all 🙏🏼❤️”

Williams–Dunning and her husband have a son, Beau Weston, and a daughte, Audrey Jane, they got married in October 2015. Williams-Dunning ran a clothing store called Weston Jane where all the products were handmade by mothers rooted in an idea of “moms supporting moms.”
