Daryl Hall and John Oates will reunite for a summer tour alongside Train. Hall & Oates and Train will each perform a set before joining the stage together for a finale.
The groups’ tour will span North America, starting in Sacramento and ending in Seattle. With the tour comes the return of Hoagie Nation, a Philadelphia music festival Hall and Oates themselves started. This year’s lineup includes the two bands, plus Fitz and the Tantrums and Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers as of now.
Hall & Oates’ last album came out in 2006, and both artists have released various individual projects. Hall began his own monthly web music show, Live from Daryl’s House, in 2007 – that Oates starred in for several seasons – and Oates has recorded five solo albums since 1999.
The duo was welcomed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
Train’s frontman, Pat Monahan, has also appeared in Hall’s web show. Train took to Twitter to express the group’s excitement for the tour.
“I hope you all come out to see Rocktopia and our tour with Hall & Oates soon. Kinda going nuts in my brains about it all and I’m not sure how to handle myself,” Train tweeted.
Tickets will be available through LiveNation on Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. Those with an access code can purchase presale tickets now.
