During NBC’s 2016 Golden Globes Arrival Special, Jamie Foxx and daughter, Corrine Foxx, were interviewed by NBC correspondents. Foxx, clearly emotional, as she was presented as this year’s Miss Golden Globe.

“First of all, you know how hard it is as a parent in any setting to raise your kid and have it turn out right. This kid has never been any trouble, never asked me no money, she never asked for nothing so this is perfect for her to come out and do this tonight,” Foxx said.

Foxx posted this photo three days ago on his personal instagram. He captioned it “So proud of my daughter being honored as Miss Golden Globe make sure you follow her at @corinnefoxx congrats to my little girl you make me proud.”

Miss Golden Globe is an annual title awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and more recently has been a celebrity’s daughter.

When asked what advice her dad gave her for tonight, Corrine answered for confidently that her “dad always told me to have fun and not be too nervous.”

Foxx went on to say how he and his daughter walked that same red carpet 10 years ago and it felt “good to see her walk.”
