A Gilmore Girls reunion could soon be in the works, according to Scott Patterson, who played diner owner Luke Danes on the show.

Gilmore Girls Reunion

Since Gilmore Girls aired its final show back in 2007, there has been ongoing speculation that the cast could one day reunite for a TV special or feature film. Patterson, 56, would be more than happy to participate if such a reunion would come to fruition, and revealed that talks are already in progress.

“There are talks going on at the moment,” Patterson said on the Gilmore Guys podcast earlier in the week. “I can’t really go into any detail, but there is some activity. So I’m hopeful, and you know, I’m in. I think it would be a big event, and I think it would be a great fan celebration. They deserve it.”

“I think there’s a lot of territory left unexplored that we could explore in a limited series or a TV movie or feature film, whatever that may be,” Scott, who ended up with Lauren Graham‘s Lorelai Gilmore on the finale, added. “I think it really just comes down to the script. I think everybody would jump on board.”

Back in November of last year, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino announced that Graham and Alexis Bledel, who played her daughter on the show, would be joining her at the ATX Television Festival in June.

“So after years of peace and quiet these lunatics have chosen to get the chattiest chicks in the world back under one roof? Really? Okay. You asked for it,” Sherman-Palladino said in a statement. “Gilmore was the highlight of my ridiculous life. I can’t wait to sit with these unbelievable broads and relive a time where sleep did not exist where stress and coffee were mama’s little helpers and where we all dove into the deep end together to make something weird and very very cool.”

Jared Padalecki (Dean), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Keiko Agena (Lane), Liza Weil (Paris), Liz Torres (Miss Patty), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), John Cabrera (Brian), Danny Strong (Doyle), Todd Lowe (Zach), Jackson Douglas (Jackson) and Matt Czuchry (Logan) are all confirmed to attend the event next month as well.
