Fred Armisen And Bill Hader Announce New Tour For Hall And Oates

On Tuesday, Hall and Oates entrusted the announcement of their new tour to comedians Fred Armisen and Bill Hader. The duo called themselves, “The Blue Jean Committee.”

The comedians poked fun at the legendary smooth vocalists by saying they used to “kick them around” back in the 70s.

“What do you think of when you think of the ’70s? When you think of beautiful harmonies, when you think of a duo who sings together to make hit songs? You think of the Blue Jean Committee and that’s who we are,” Armisen says in the video.

“Who you might think of fifth or eighth is Daryl Hall and John Oates. You know, who used to open for us?” Hader adds. “Who we used to kick around? Daryl Hall and John Oates!”

Tickets for the tour will go on sale February 19 and guests will include Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, along with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue,
