Just weeks after the late rapper Tupac Shakur received a Hollywood star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, police footage has been released of the search of a Las Vegas home in connection with his 1996 murder.

The search of the home of Duane Keith David, also known as Keffe D, was shown on police body cam video. David is one of two remaining eyewitnesses to the drive-by murder of Shakur on the Vegas strip.

Just weeks ago, Shakur’s sister, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, received the Walk Of Fame award on his behalf.

She spoke at the event saying, “From the first time he stepped foot on the stage of the Apollo Theater at 13, before anyone recognized his name, he knew he had the dream to have a star here on the Walk of Fame. Today, we’re not just honoring a star in the ground, but we’re honoring the work and the passion that he’s put into making his dreams come true. His heavenly star will shine a little brighter today. And once again, he has made us all extremely proud.”

The Hollywood Walk of Fame Instagram account posted a series of posts in honor of Shakur. It included different pictures and videos of the star, a photo of Shakur and photos of the host, Big Boy and Sekyiwa Shakur.

They also declared a special holiday for Shakur, naming yesterday as Tupac Shakur Day in Hollywood.

Additionally, they posted a video and a photo of the unveiling of the star with Sekyiwa. They captioned the photo of the post: “Join us in welcoming our newest Walk of Famer Tupac Shakur. The award-winning rapper and film star received the 2,758th star posthumously.”

Speeches were also given at the event by the writer, Jamal Joseph, and the director, Allen Hughes
