First Teaser Of James Franco’s ‘The Disaster Artist’ Released [VIDEO]

James Franco‘s newest film, the highly anticipated The Disaster Artist was given its first teaser trailer on Tuesday. In less than 24 hours, the teaser was number one on YouTube’s trending list and has already racked up more than one million views.

The Disaster Artist, directed by and staring Franco, is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Greg Sestero. The book covers Sestero’s experience working on and acting in the 2003 film The Room by Tommy Wiseau. The Room has since become a cult classic and is celebrated as the worst film ever made.

The new film was produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Franco, and stars a number of A-list actors.

Franco’s brother, Dave Franco, plays Sestero in the film and Rogen plays Sandy Schklair, the script supervisor, as can be seen from the teaser.

The film also stars Josh Hutcherson, Zac Efron, Hannibal Buress, Melanie Griffith, Sharon Stone, and Jacki Weaver. It will also include cameos from Bryan Cranston, Zach Braff, J.J. Abrams, Kristen Bell, and Wiseau himself.

The Disaster Artist is expected to be released world-wide on December 8.
