Sony Pictures is reportedly developing a female-driven spinoff of its popular 21 Jump Street franchise starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

Female-Driven 21 Jump Street

The female-driven Jump Street will reportedly have a screenplay penned by Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs and will have producer Neal Moritz and directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller from 21 and 22 Jump Street on board. Moritz, Lord and Miller will also behind a Men In Black crossover spinoff.

Casting for the Jump Street with an all-female ensemble has not been revealed, although it’s possible that 21 Jump Street’s Dakota Johnson could reprise her role as an officer. It’s also possible that some of the Broad City stars could be called in for a part.

As for the Men in Black crossover, Hill and Tatum would be expected to reprise their roles. As for past Men in Black stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin, it’s unknown if they would be participating in the spinoff.

In January, Sony announced that it was going forward with plans to make a female-driven Ghostbusters flick. Paul Feig was tapped to direct the film, which is starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. The Ghostbusters spinoff is slated for a July 22, 2016 release.
