Fear the Walking Dead continues to tease fans with its third clip, which shows a student warning of a rapidly-spreading virus.
Fear The Walking Dead Teaser
In the teaser clip for Fear the Walking Dead‘s premiere episode, Kim Dickens‘ character Madison, a high school guidance counselor, gets a dire warning from a concerned student. “Reports in five states. They don’t know if it’s a virus or a microbe,” the student tells Madison. “They don’t know but it’s spreading… people are killing!”
Madison, skeptical of the student’s claims, is dismissive. “You need to spend less time online,” she tells him before declaring her faith in the government. “The authorities would tell us.” In response, the student rolls his eyes in defeat and exasperation.
Fear the Walking Dead, a companion series to The Walking Dead, will be set in Los Angeles during the same zombie apocalypse that Rick and his group are weathering in Atlanta. In addition to Dickens, the series stars Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey. According to executive producer Dave Erikson, Fear will be more of a family drama.
“Our hero couple [is] Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens, both of whom are struggling to keep this family together and to heal the fractures,” Erikson told Variety. “The irony for us was that the only way they were able to that was because the apocalypse arrives. It forces them together.”
Fear the Walking Dead’s six-episode first season will premiere on AMC in August. Its second season will debut in 2016.
