Farrah Abraham On Trayvon Martin: ‘I Feel Like I’ve Met Her Or Something’
Farrah Abraham did not know who Trayvon Martin was. In fact, Abraham, the Teen Mom star-turned-porn star, thought the late 17-year-old was a past female acquaintance.
When Abraham appeared on Matty-P’s Radio Happy Hour this week, she was asked about what she thought about Martin’s death. “I feel like I’ve met her or something,” Abraham had responded. “It sounds so familiar… I don’t know what she is so I can’t picture the person with the name right now.”
George Zimmerman’s second-degree murder trial for the shooting death of Martin last February has been dominating the headlines this summer. The state had argued that Zimmerman pursued Martin after racially profiling him, and shot and killed him in reckless overzealousness. However, Zimmerman, who had maintained he'd acted in self-defense, was acquitted of all charges last weekend.
Abraham later walked back her statement and claimed to not have heard the question. “Trayvon is not the only young adult killed for the reason he was killed,” Abraham told Radar. “I just would hope other young adults keep away from vandalism and dangerous areas and people. I wish Trayvon’s family all the best as they deal with their loss.”
"I don’t wish to be part of this topic,” she added.
