Jamie Bell and Kate Mara are engaged.

The 33-year-old actress was seen wearing a ring last year, but now according to E! news, her engagement has been confirmed by her representative.

Mara flashed her engagement ring to fans over the weekend, when she posted a picture promoting football team New York Giants on Twitter.

The couple met in 2014 on the set of the rebooted Fantastic Four film where Bell took on the role of The Thing, whilst Mara brought the character Sue Storm to life.

Though the actors got to know each other whilst filming, they did not go public with their relationship until May 2015, where they held hands at the Met Gala in NYC.

Jamie was previously married to Evan Rachel Wood, and Kate has been linked to Max Minghella and Charlie Cox.

Kate recently opened up about the relationship for the first time during an appearance on the talk show Conan. She revealed Jamie had learned all about American football to impress his girlfriend, who is the great-granddaughter of New York Giants founder Tim Mara and Pittsburgh Steelers initiator Art Rooney, Sr.

“Somehow I end up dating a lot of Englishmen… They like soccer, not football,” Kate grinned. “My boyfriend right now, my boyfriend Jamie, is amazing and he surprised me one day; when we first started dating, he spent a night where all he did was watch all the previous season of the Giants – every game. So the next time we watched a game together he knew everything about it, which was amazing. He did his homework,” the actress shared.
