At the premiere of the mystery thriller Holland at the South by Southwest Festival, Gael García Bernal shared insight on his experience working with Nicole Kidman, “One of the best actors in – forever.” Holland follows Kidman’s character Nancy, a teacher who lives in Holland, Michigan with her husband, Bernal’s character. Bernal said of the film, “So this film is a sort of mystery that unravels very quickly, but very profoundly and in ways that you couldn’t imagine. It happened to me while I was reading it, and while doing it as well, so I hope that everyone gets that sort of roller coaster feeling of, ‘OK, what’s going to happen next, what’s going to happen, everything is not what it seems!’” On working with veteran actors Kidman and Matthew Macfadyen, Bernal gushed, “They’re the best guys. Nicole is of course, this is maybe a redundance to say, but it’s never enough to say it because she’s one of the best actresses in – forever.
