In a sit-down conversation with uInterview, actors Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Millie Brady shared their favorite parts of filming in London for the second season of the thriller Surface. The series follows Sophie (played by Mbatha-Raw), a young woman who has suffered a traumatic brain injury. As she investigates who she was and tries to put her life back together, she starts to realize that some of the people “helping” her might not be on her side after all. “I really feel like every scene has been a joy,” Mbatha-Raw told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “But I really love the scenes later in the season, I think more towards the season finale, where – not to spoil too much – but I think there’s more scenes with Sophie and James, the stakes are really high, and we had a whole set of scenes together in a house that were like, the level of danger and just the emotional impact of what they’d been through…I felt like everything was really tense and taught and they were just really very thriller-y scenes.I really enjoyed those.” Season two of Surface will premiere on Feb. 21 on AppleTV+.
