Just because you play a doctor on TV does not mean you have all the answers. Eric Dane, 38, better known as Dr. Mark "McSteamy" Sloan on ABC's hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy, checked himself into rehab to recover from an addiction to prescription painkillers. Since joining the cast of Grey's in 2005 Dane has gotten his fair share of publicity — and not just for his dashing good looks.

"Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus," his rep said in a statement, referring to the time Dane had off between filming last season of Grey's and the next. "He reports back to work this week. Business as usual."

News of Dane's rehab stint comes on the heels of the announcement that his wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, 39, is pregnant with their second child. The pair already has a daughter, Billie Beatrice, who is about 15 months old. A video depicting Dane and Gayheart in the company of former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche, all three of them nude, was leaked in 2009.

News of Dane's entering rehab was kept under wraps until today. As it turns out, the actor has already left the Los Angeles facility and returned to work.
