EMMY ROSSUM ANTIQUE JEWELRY STOLEN
The actress’ housekeeper discovered the robbery on Friday after finding two empty safes and evidence of a break-in. Sources say that nearly $150,000 in antique jewelry was stolen from the actress’ home. The burglars cut power to the house, to deactivate the alarm system, and smashed the glass on the back door to gain entrance.
Rossum joins a long list of celebrities who have been burgled already this year. Other victims include Jamie Pressly, Kendall Jenner, Alanis Morissette, Yasiel Puig and Nicki Minaj. Pressly had her laptop and jewelry worth $30,000 stolen on March 17. Jenner has had more than $200,000 stolen in jewelry as well.
“This case is considered grand theft because of the value amount of the missing items,” said the LAPD of Jenner’s theft.
“Thank you to the LAPD,” tweeted Rossum after the incident. “I fully support the police efforts and dedication.”
