Emma Heming Willis took to Instagram to celebrate 16 years with her husband Bruce Willis.

“16 years with this special man,” Heming Willis captioned the post. “My love and adoration for him only grows.”

The two have been married since 2009 and have two daughters together.

Willis has been struggling with FTD (frontotemporal dementia) since February.

Before that, he was diagnosed with aphasia.

Emma has been vocal about her husband’s struggles with the disease. Recently, she wrote an article for Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, saying how lucky she is to afford help for her husband that others might not have access to.

In the article, Heming Willis emphasized that having strength in community, research and finding meaning are all crucial in dealing with FTD.

“I have so much more hope today than I did after Bruce was first diagnosed. I understand this disease more now, and I’m now connected to an incredible community of support,” Heming Willis reflected. “I have hope in having found a new purpose – admittedly one I never would have gone looking for – using the spotlight to help and empower others. And I have hope in how our entire family can find joy in the small things, and in coming together to celebrate all the moments life has to offer.”
