Rapper Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, released a nearly eight-minute track as a teaser to his new upcoming record.
The song, titled “Campaign Speech,” is a verbal take down of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Eminem disses Trump and his supporters, while bringing up the killing of Trayvon Martin, and the stance of Colin Kaepernick.
“Consider me a dangerous man/ But you should be afraid of this dang candidate,” raps Mathers. “You say Trump don’t kiss ass like a puppet?/ ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the funding?/ And that’s what you wanted?/ A f—–g loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button/ Who doesn’t have to answer to no one?/ Great idea!”
The rapper also targets Trump supporters, both the masses and individual celebrities. “Run the faucet / I’m a dunk a bunch of Trump supporters underwater,” says one line. He also name checks Chuck Norris and Robin Thicke.
In the past, Trump and Eminem seemed to be on the same page. In 2004, Trump promoted Eminem’s album Encore. “Am I right? Of course I’m right. I’m always right — I’m Donald Trump, I’m always right,” declared Trump. “I know a winner when I see one, and Donald Trump is telling you right now, Slim Shady is a winner. He’s got brains, he’s got guts, and he’s got Donald Trump’s vote!”
Ironic that Trump definitely does not have Mathers’ vote. Hear the whole song below.
