Elizabeth Hurley Dons Pink On Top Of The Empire State Building In Honor Of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Actress Elizabeth Hurley evoked memories of the Barbie-inspired obsession with the color pink that characterized the summer of 2023 when she appeared in four pink outfits in one day.
Hurley strolled the streets of New York City in her different ensembles to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She has been a dedicated global ambassador for the Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign since 1996.
Hurley’s range of pink outfits to promote the campaign varied from an elegant button-down dress to a bright chiffon gown to a fuchsia striped cardigan. Her final look of the day was a fitted midi dress bedazzled with a flower and balloon sleeves.
On Oct. 1, Hurley was invited to the Empire State Building for a special lighting ceremony, during which she would flip the renowned switch to turn the building’s lights pink.
Last week, Hurley donned another pink ensemble in a gown at the Future Dreams Ladies Lunch, hosted by Estée Lauder Companies at the Savoy Hotel.
In April, Hurley spoke to uInterview exclusively about being directed by her son, Damian, in the film Strictly Confidential. “He’d been directing me in his baby movies since the age of eight,” she recalled. “Every vacation from school, he’d be making another movie, and he had written the script. He’d be holding his little video recorder and bossing us around, telling me where to stand, what to do, and what to say. So it actually felt normal, except this time with a crew instead of my mother and sister. It felt exactly how it should feel. I was delighted as a producer to help him prepare everything, but on the set, he didn’t need any help at all; he was great.”
