Ed Sheeran And Nicole Scherzinger Are Not Dating — Just Friends

Ed Sheeran and Nicole Scherzinger are apparently just friends, after rumors of their coupling hit the web this week.

Sheeran and Scherzinger have been spotted together a few times in recent months, and a few Instagram pics of the duo posted in July led to speculation that the singers were dating.

British tabloid The Sun claimed that the pop stars were going on  dates, but a rep for Scherzinger revealed to the tabloid that these were not romantic.

Sheeran and Scherzinger have been friends for years, and plan on keeping it that way.

Scherzinger and race driver Lewis Hamilton dated on and off for several years beginning in 2007, but their breakup this year, left the Pussycat Dolls singer “heartbroken and devastated,” a source told The Daily Mail.

Sheeran has been romantically tied to fellow British pop singer Ellie Goulding in the past, but Goulding said they were never a couple, despite rumors that they were in a relationship.

“I did go on a few dates with Niall Horan but I was never in a relationship with Ed,” the singer told Elle U.K.’s Body Confidence.

“I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing. I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by the men they have or haven’t dated,” Goulding added.

There has been no further comments on the matter, from Sheeran or Scherzinger.
