Drake hosted SNL on Saturday night and delivered some hilarious skits.
Drake opened the show with his opening monologue, in which he poked fun at memes that focus on him. The rapper explained to the audience that backstage he just saw a meme from his “Hotline Bling” video with the caption “If you farted and got away with it.”
“If I’m being real it hurts,” Drake said. “Seems like this keeps happening to me, it’s like all I can do is just sing about it.”
The rapper started to sing a hilarious ballad about his meme struggles. “I just wanna scream, that I’m more than a meme,” Drake sang in his rich R&B tone.
Drake later turned to rapping during his “Drake’s Beef” skit, which featured funny lyrics over his popular “Back to Back” track. In the skit Drake is an awkward guest at a house gathering of friends, when his friends start to make fun of him, the rapper is seen coming up with diss songs in his head about them.
Drake’s skits continued with “Black Jeopardy with Drake,” featuring the rapper as the contestant named Jared, a Canadian who can’t seem to understand some of the cultural differences between America and Canada.
“You’re a black Canadian?” the host asks Jared.
“There’s thousands of us, I’m sure you met a few of us before,” Jared says.
“Nope!” the host says.
Jared is even told “no good rap comes from Canada,” a comment that he certainly doesn’t agree with.
