Donald Trump Jr. is continuing his bizarre social media defense of his father Donald Trump by posting a photo that is pretty strange for any son to post of his dad.
With the caption “Redact this!” Junior posted a photo of his father with a very long censorship bar right at the former 45th President’s groin.
Junior was continuing his pile-on of the affidavit the FBI released justifying its raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago summer property, which had a large amount of redacted material likely deemed too sensitive for public viewing.
Despite conservative upset, the affidavit did have some unredacted information in it that pled its case. The preliminary findings of the raid have revealed, according to the FBI: “184 unique documents bearing classification markings, including 67 documents marked as Confidential, 92 documents marked as Secret and 25 documents marked as Top Secret.”
The nature of the investigation was clarified to be “concerning the improper removal and storage of classified information in unauthorized spaces, as well as the unlawful concealment or removal of government records.”
The affidavit also indicated that the U.S. National Archives and Records administration first notified the DOJ of the missing materials on February 9, 2022.
A key part of the memo was their establishment of probable cause in two cases.
“There is probable cause to believe that additional documents that contain classified NDI or that are Presidential records subject to record retention requirements currently remain at the PREMISES. “There is also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found at the PREMISES,” read the unredacted end of item three of the affidavit.
Another interesting tidbit is that the FBI clarified what qualifies a document as “Classified.” Line 15 of the affidavit said “Classified information may be marked as ‘Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals/Governments/US Citizens,’ abbreviated ‘NOFORN,’ to indicate information that may not be released in any form to foreign governments, foreign nationals, foreign organizations, or non-US citizens without permission of the originator.
They also added that some materials were also classified as “‘Originator Controlled, abbreviated ‘ORCON’ this marking indicates dissemination beyond pre-approved U.S. entities requires originator approval.”
The report was written by an unidentified FBI agent and submitted on August 5, 2022 and approved by U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce E. Reinhart.
