Donald Trump Calls Out Madonna, ‘SNL’ Writer’s Tweet On Son, Barron Trump

Donald Trump spoke with Fox News anchor Sean Hannity on Thursday and criticized Saturday Night Live for one of its writer’s recent words about his son Barron Trump.

DONALD TRUMP CRITICIZES MADONNA

Trump has been a frequent critic of the comedy show as of late, since Alec Baldwin began impersonating the president during the campaign and election cycle. He has bashed the actor and the entire show on Twitter for being “boring and unfunny.”

This time, SNL writer Katie Rich tweeted out that “Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter.” Amid major outcry, Rich was indefinitely suspended from her role on the show. She also deleted the tweet and posted an apologetic one. “I deeply regret my actions & offensive words,” she said. “It was inexcusable & I’m so sorry.”

Hannity took the chance to say that Barron is “a wonderful, smart, charming kid… and then they attack him. That’s got to hurt you and Melania.”

“Well, Saturday Night Live – a person from Saturday Night Live was terrible. It’s a failing show. It’s not funny,” the president complained. “Alec Baldwin’s a disaster. He’s terrible on the show and, by the way, I don’t mind some humor but it’s terrible. But for them to attack, for NBC to attack my 10-year-old son… It’s a disgrace. He’s a great boy. And it’s not an easy thing for him, believe me.”

Barron has been the butt of many jokes in recent weeks, prompting the White House to release a statement saying Barron has the right to stay out of the spotlight. “It is a longstanding tradition that the children of presidents are afforded the opportunity to grow up outside of the political spotlight,” it read. “The White House fully expects this tradition to continue.”

Trump also took on Madonna, who spoke and rallied at the Women’s March on Washington the day following the inauguration. In an attempt at metaphor, the singer said she has “thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House,” in her anger at Trump’s win. “Honestly, she’s disgusting. I think she hurt herself very badly,” Trump said. “I think she hurt that whole cause. I thought what she said was disgraceful to our country.”
