Donald & Melania Trump Feeling ‘Mild Symptoms’ Of COVID-19, Resting At White House
Lethargy is one of the early symptoms of the virus, and President Trump began to experience it on Wednesday, two days before he actually tested positive. Apparently, he fell asleep on a flight back from a Minnesota rally. The next day, he also appeared tired at a New Jersey fundraiser, a partially indoor event with hundreds of people. He attended the event even despite learning his close advisor, Hope Hicks, had tested positive. He has also been displaying cold-like symptoms since testing.
Meanwhile, Melania has not had any of her symptoms reported by witnesses, but instead elected to tweet about them.
Thank you for the love you are sending our way. I have mild symptoms but overall feeling good. I am looking forward to a speedy recovery.

“Thank you for the love you are sending our way,” she wrote. “I have mild symptoms but overall feeling good.”
However, because of President Trump’s handling of the virus, he and his first lady have been receiving a lot more than love from Twitter. Many users seem to find their diagnoses to be a form of justice, even flipping the president’s words back onto himself.
You should use this time to think about the families of the 200,000 who have died and the 7,000,000 who are currently infected. With every cough, ache, chill, & labored breath think about those who are battling this without the type of care you are receiving and don’t deserve.

Oh No!! You know if you didnt test yourself you wouldnt have gotten the virus according to the WH… oh and yourself… You mean to tell me you didnt even take your own advise not to be tested?? Because you have said that you only get cases because you test for it…

Others also hypothesize that, because of both Trumps’ limited display of symptoms thus far and a lack of ways to verify their condition, there is a chance the president is faking it.
Yeah I can’t shake the feeling. Disrupt the news cycle. Stop everyone talking about the racism. Downplay the seriousness and win back some defecting republicans. Get a free pass to miss debates and interviews. Win sympathy.
There’s no way to independently verify it.

The American people have been lied to by Trump & co. on all matters large & small for 4 years. Now, Trump tells us he tested positive. Next week, will he tell us he ingested a magic elixir & he’s been cured, with Jared/Ivanka offering the elixir on an infomercial? His next con?

Nonetheless, Mike Pence, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris have all tested negative for the virus, reassuring both Republicans and Democrats alike. Biden announced the results of his test, which people were anxiously awaiting, via a tweet which included a reminder of safe health practices.
I’m happy to report that Jill and I have tested negative for COVID. Thank you to everyone for your messages of concern. I hope this serves as a reminder: wear a mask, keep social distance, and wash your hands.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) October 2, 2020
Harris instead tweeted her well wishes towards the Trumps, announcing that she and her running mate were both hoping for their recovery.
Doug and I join Joe Biden and Dr. Biden in wishing President Trump and the First Lady a full and speedy recovery. We’re keeping them and the entire Trump family in our thoughts.
— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) October 2, 2020
Both Biden and Harris announce on Friday that they have tested negative for COVID-19.
