Didcot Murders Update: Suspect Jed Allen ‘Wolverine Killer’ Found Dead
Allen, 21, is suspected of killing his mother Janet Jordon, her boyfriend Philip Howard, and his six-year-old sister Derrin Jordon, in their Didcot home on Saturday. Police discovered the bodies on Saturday night, all three died of fatal stab wounds, and had been searching for Allen ever since. On Sunday, Allen was identified to the public as the main suspect in the murders of his family and police began searching Oxford University Parks, where Allen had worked as a groundskeeper. One day later, two civilians found Allen hanging from a tree in Oxford, but it is unclear how long he had been there.
Allen reportedly had a troubled past, and was previously known to social services after his two younger siblings were taken into foster care by social services because his mother was an alcoholic and Allen allegedly suffered from violent tendencies. Due to social services’ previous involvement, the decision to allow Allen’s mother to keep her six-year-old daughter will be investigated by Oxfordshire County Council.
Media dubbed Allen the ‘Wolverine killer’ because the young man was obsessed with the X-Men character and frequently posted about him on Instagram. Allen’s Instagram profile reportedly includes multiple photos of Allen posing with knives and various weapons.
