Did Adele Walk Out After Harry Styles Won Grammy’s Album Of The Year? Fan Speculation Goes Wild

At the 2023 Grammys, Harry Styles beat ABBA, Adele, Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Brandi Carlile, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo and Mary J. Blige and took home the Album of the Year award for Harry’s House.

While met with standing applause, some fans noticed that Adele appeared to be walking out during Styles’ acceptance speech, possibly in defiance over Beyoncé not winning.

Previously in 2017, Adele won Album of the Year for 25 and in her acceptance speech she tried to give the award away to Beyoncé, claiming she deserved it more. This led fans to believe she was doing the same thing here after Beyoncé’s loss and they quickly fled to Twitter to comment on the moment.

Feeding fire to the flame, in his acceptance speech Styles’ commented that “people like me” don’t win Grammys in the face of heckling Beyoncé fans.

However, other fans and even Lizzo herself cleared up the rumors of Adele walking off.

Fans went to Twitter to share screenshots of Adele still by her table as Styles gave his speech, merely having stood up to give him room. On Lizzo’s TikTok she posted a video of Adele and herself cheering on Styles as he went up to the stage to accept his award, proving that Adele did not walk off.
