Actress Salma Hayek recently revealed the pressure she feels to earn money, despite her marriage to billionaire François-Henri Pinault, the second

Hayek, 58, and Pinault, 62, were married in 2009. Pinault is the CEO of luxury retail group Kering, which owns multiple high-end brands such as Gucci and Saint Laurent.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Hayek shared, “I support a lot of aspects of my life and myself…I have the pressure to make a certain amount of money, and I like it. And now, I decided, I want to make more.”

Hayek further explained that she and Pinault have chosen to keep their finances separate, although she made clear that the couple does not have a prenuptial agreement dividing assets.

She said of Pinault’s attitude to their arrangement, “I think he finds it kind of sexy.”

Hayek shared that she was born into a wealthy family, with her father an oil executive and her mother an opera singer. However, in Hayek’s early 20s, her father lost the family fortune, which prompted Hayek to move to Los Angeles in an effort to support herself and her family in Mexico.

“That’s when I became the best version of myself,” Hayek declared.

Earlier this year Hayek shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram to celebrate her and Pinault’s 15th wedding anniversary.

“There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soulmate,” she wrote. “For all of you who found it, never take it for granted. For all of you who haven’t, never give up #tbt to one of the best days of my life.”

Hayek and Pinault share their 17-year-old daughter, Valentina, together and Hayek is stepmother to Pinault’s three children from previous relationships. Pinault and his ex-girlfriend Linda Evangelista share their son Augustin, and Pinault has two children from his first marriage to Dorothée Lepère, François and Mathilde.

In July, Hayek joined the torch relay at Versailles at the start of the Paris Olympic Games.
