Demi Lovato has gotten embroiled in two of Mariah Carey‘s most notable feuds in the last week.

After spotting a photo on Instagram that suggested that Arianna Grande was a lesser version of Carey, Lovato made the comment: “You got it the wrong way around honey,” a pointed jab at Carey.

After backlash from Carey fans, Lovato commented once again. “Mariah is a legend and is so talented but consistently disses people,” Lovato said. “It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer. Ari did nothing wrong.”

In the now deleted comments, Lovato was referring to Carey’s 15-year feud with Jennifer Lopez. This long-lasting catfight began in the early 2000s when Carey was asked about Lopez – to which she responded, “I don’t know her.” Over a decade later, this March, Carey was asked again about her feelings towards Lopez, her response a nearly identical, “I still don’t know her.”

Also in March, Lopez acknowledged the feud on an episode of The Wendy Williams Show, “she’s forgetful I guess,” she said.

Lovato made her last comment on the topic on Instagram: “This is why I posted what I did. Jen keeps it classy but I’m not afraid to say s––t. The woman is mean for no reason. Extremely talented? Yes. Superhuman? Possibly. Unnecessarily rude? Absolutely.”

Carey alluded to Lopez’s comment in another recent interview. “I’m very forgetful,” Carey said mockingly on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “If I have never had a conversation with you and somebody asked me about you I’d be like I don’t know him but he seems cool.”

When Cohen asked if Lopez seemed cool, Carey replied, “I don’t know her, what am I supposed to say?”
