Demi Lovato Buys Mansion For Her Family

Demi Lovato recently bought her family a present for her own birthday: a house. “For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present, ” Lovato told People.

The not-so-humble Los Angeles abode is a sprawling Mediterranean-style address with an extra house in the backyard, which the teenage star plans to live in. “It’s got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it," she said. "It’s the most beautiful, homey-feeling house…the pool has a water slide.”

The actress/singer celebrated her coming of age at hip Manhattan restaurant Buddakan with guests that included Joe and Nick Jonas and Madison de la Garza, Lovato’s younger sister who appears on  Desperate Housewives. The evening finished off with a lavish, sparkling cake that dripped a sweet chocolate and raspberry gloss.  – Alex Santos Murry
