Deidrick reported that he and his girlfriend got into a fight and grabbed her phone when he suspected she was recording them. Deidrick further claimed that his girlfriend had tried to strangle him with her hands around his neck, but officials were unable to find any evidence of this assault.
Deidrick’s girlfriend recounted to the police that she hadn’t been recording the conversation and instead had “cowered in a corner” for the duration of their argument. She continued that Diedrick came up behind her to give her a “bear hug,” restraining her to take her phone. Despite her demands, Deidrick refused to return her phone until she agreed to move out of their home that day.
Deidrick was released from Davidson County Sheriff’s Office at 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 after posting a $2,500 bond. His hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24 at a Davidson County court.
Deidrick played Chad DiMera for 362 episodes of NBC’s soap opera Days of Our Lives, which ran from 2009 to 2013. He also appeared in 10 episodes of Eye Candy in 2015 and three episodes of Teen Wolf in 2017. He more recently starred in the 2019-2022 CW series In The Dark, playing the character Max Parish.
