NBC’s longest-running series Days of Our Lives will be moving to the NBC-Universal-owned streaming platforms beginning on September 12.

The show currently airs daily on NBC and past episodes can be streamed on Peacock. Peacock aired a spinoff Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in September 2021 with another installment of the show which aired on Peacock in July.

The spinoff film Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas aired in December 2021.

Beginning September 12, the NBC timeslot that Days of Our Lives occupied, will be replaced by NBC News Daily. The program is anchored by other NBC News team members like Kate Snow, Aaron Gilchrist, Vicky Nguyen and Morgan Radford. The program will also have the option to be simultaneously streamed on NBC News NOW and Peacock.

“This programming shift benefits both Peacock and NBC and is reflective of our broader strategy to utilize our portfolio to maximize reach and strengthen engagement with viewers,” said Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “With a large percentage of the Days of Our Lives audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show’s loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers.”

In 2021, Days of Our Lives was renewed for Seasons 57 and 58, celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2020 and aired its 14,00th episode in December 2020.

Produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television, the show is set in the fictional town of Salem in the Midwest with the main families involved being the Bradys, Hortons, Carvers, DiMeras and Kiriakises.
