David Letterman Hit In $2 Million Extortion Plot

David Letterman confessed on CBS's Late Show Thursday that he was the victim of a $2 million extortion scheme. A CBS producer allegedly threatened to reveal that Letterman had had sex with female staffers. Letterman contacted the Manhattan DA's office, which conducted a sting involving the exchange of a phony $2 million check. Letterman and girlfriend Regina Lasko were married in the spring.
