‘Dancing With the Stars’ Gleb Savchenko Denies Affair With Dance Partner Chrishell Stause

Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Gleb Savchenko has denied having an affair with his dance partner, Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause, after his estranged wife claimed they were in a relationship.

Savchenko, 37, gave a statement on to E! News Saturday, claiming that his split from his wife Elena Samodanova, 37, was not caused by an affair, and said his relationship with Stause, 39, was platonic.

“While I will continue to respect the privacy of my family,” his statement started, “I will not stand by and allow false accusations and internet rumors go unaddressed. My relationship with Chrishell was and remains strictly platonic. Our friendship during our season on DWTS was not the reason for our split. Elena and I have had longstanding issues in our marriage. This has been an ongoing situation between Elena and I paired with poor timing.”

The couple announced their split on Friday via Instagram, with Savchenko writing “It is with a heavy heart that I tell you my wife and I are parting ways after 14 years of marriage. We still intend to co-parent our wonderful children together who we love so dearly, and we will strive to continue to be the best parents that we can to them. We ask that you respect our family’s need for privacy and healing during this time.”

The next day, Samodanova told People that her ex husband’s “ongoing infidelity” is what broke them apart.

“Gleb’s ongoing infidelity and a recent inappropriate relationship has created turmoil in our marriage and absolutely torn our family apart,” she said, claiming that her ex had been seeing another woman recently. This drove fans to speculate that Savchenko had been having an affair with Stause.

“No wife should ever stand by and watch while another woman gifts her husband expensive presents, lures him out to dinners and seduces him at every turn,” Samodanova said. “Last night was the final straw, and I can no longer turn my head the other way. My trust in Gleb is irrevocably broken and it is time that I walk away and begin to heal so I can be the best version of myself for my girls.”

Stause responded to the rumors about the affair in an Instagram Story: “I am so saddened about the news of Gleb and Elena’s split,” she said. “It is unfortunate that this has caused rumors to swirl about my personal life.” Stause split from her husband This Is Us star Justin Hartley last November.

“Any insinuation or accusation that Chrishell is in any way involved in the dissolution of Gleb and Elena’s marriage is 100% categorically false. To be clear: Chrishell and Gleb are in no way, and have never been in any way, romantically involved,” a rep for Stause said.
