Steve Bannon Says He’s Working On A Plan To Allow A Third Trump Presidential Term Despite Constitutional Prohibition
Former White House strategist Steve Bannon shared that he and other supporters of Donald Trump are working on a way for him to run for president for a third time – despite the U.S. Constitution explicitly prohibiting it.
Bannon shared the news during an interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation.
“I’m a firm believer that President Trump will run and win again in 2028, so I’ve already endorsed President Trump,” he told Cuomo.

The anchor pointed out that Trump is “term-limited.” “How do you think he gets another term,” he asked.
“We’re working on it,” Bannon answered. “I think we’ll have a couple of alternatives. Let’s say that we’ll see what the definition of ‘term limit’ is.”
The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution declares that “no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
The ex-White House strategist stated that they are working on “a lot of stuff.” He also said that they are not ready to discuss this idea publicly yet, but he thinks they will be in two months.
During a congressional Republican conference at Trump’s Doral, Florida resort on January 27, Trump initially proposed serving for a third term.
In early March, he floated the idea again while speaking at a Black History Month event in the East Room of the White House.
