Reality star Sharon Osbourne opened up about the truth behind her weight-loss journey.

The 71-year-old admitted that she lost 42 pounds with the help of the diabetes drug Ozempic, also known as Wegovy.

The drug is used to make its users feel full, tricking the brain. Its users often experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation.

“I started using it in November last year. I was 142 pounds when I started using it. For the first two or three weeks, I felt very nauseous,” Osbourne shared with Woman magazine.

In another interview with Piers Morgan, Osbourne said that with the drug, “you get very thirsty, and you don’t eat.”

She decided to “put some weight back on” when she dropped to 97 pounds.

“You can lose so much weight, and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous. I couldn’t stop losing weight, and now I’ve lost 42 pounds and I can’t afford to lose any more.”

She stopped using the drug, and after nearly four months, her weight stabilized.

She warned others, especially teenagers, against using Ozempic. She hopes that the drug is “put in the right hands.”

In an interview with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway, she discussed her fears in detail. She is afraid younger people may not comprehend the side effects as well as older people.

“I don’t want young girls because in the world we live in today, everyone wants to be skinny,” she says.

Osbourne also admitted her fears of getting more plastic surgery due to her age.

“It’s difficult because I don’t know what’s going to drop in the next four or five years. I’m at an age where I shouldn’t really have any more surgery, so I don’t think so,” she said when asked if she would get more cosmetic surgery done.
